Urban Green Spaces is a landscape design and construction company.
We value building with living materials and endeavor to create landscape environments unique to each client and distinct to each site.
Fulfilling our client’s vision is the major driver throughout the design process. Attention to detail is realized from the conceptual stage through project completion.
Our projects vary in size from cozy “boutique” spaces to large sophisticated residential applications. We simply love working with plants, trees and building materials to create landscapes for living.
Our projects can be seen throughout Northern California with the majority of our work located in Sonoma and Marin Counties.

Founder/Design and Construction
I have worked in the landscape industry for my entire career. I began working along with my family’s business as a teenager (mom is a landscape contractor) and decided to branch off on my own after college. After working as a freelance designer and consultant, I founded Urban Green Spaces in 2007, designing gardens throughout Northern California. I believe every client’s wishes, needs and style must be fully grasped and understood. By putting these elements and site potential through the design process, a truly enjoyable and personal garden space will emerge and transform dreams into a reality. I hold a degree in Landscape Design and enjoy hanging out with my family and friends. I live with my wife, daughter and Cockapoo in Petaluma, California.
MONICA WRIGHT
Design/Office Management
I’ve always had a passion for design, and specifically for landscape design. After several years of working alongside Micah as an office manager, I decided to study landscape design in order to have a more creative share in the business. I believe everyone should have an outdoor retreat. Life is much more beautiful and pleasant with a garden to sooth us and contribute to our wellbeing. I’m grateful to have a share in making this possible for our clients. I’m a native Californian who enjoys sunny days at the beach. My favorite days involve family, friends, and good food.
